Connect LinkedIn
Set up
- In OnePublish chrome extension navigate to the Integrations page and select LinkedIn to connect.
- Click to Connect.
- You will be prompted to login. This is official LinkedIn OAuth Flow requirement.
- Then you will be asked to grant permission for OnePublish.
- That's it! Return back to the extension and you're ready to publish on LinkedIn.
Publishing Guide on LinkedIn (Important)
There are 2 types of post:
- Articles (Brief excerpt + URL of original article)
- Original Post (Plaintext content + thumbnail)
Articles (Recommended)
Articles are recommended since they can bring external traffic to the main source. To publish an article, you need to set the "Excerpt" property in the Notion page or explicitly add it inside the extension under the "Additional Details" section. We recommend adding it as a property on the Notion page to populate it automatically. Please refer to page properties for more info.
Original Post
If you prefer to create an original post directly on LinkedIn, you can add plaintext content along with a thumbnail. This type of post is useful for sharing insights, updates, or engaging content directly with your LinkedIn audience.
Limitations
Both options are limited up to 4096 characters. That means long articles is not supported yet.
Where to find Draft posts?
Click on "Start a post, try writing with AI" and you should see your draft post appearing by default.
